According to industry sources, the Taiwan-based mobile chipset manufacturer aims to maintain the shipment momentum of its mobile processor. Thus, the sources indicate that the configurations of the Helio P70 will likely the same with the previous Helio P60. Wherein, it has consisted of four Cortex-A73 cores. And also, four Cortex-A53 cores that pairs with a Mali-G72 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
Surprisingly, MediaTek is the world’s fourth-largest global fabless semiconductor company. Like so, it powers more than 1.5 billion devices in a year. And also, the chipmaker leads the market in chipset technology for VAD (Voice Assistant Devices). And also includes; Smart Televisions, Optical and Blu-ray DVD players, Android tablet, and feature phones. Thus, it takes second place globally, in mobile smartphones.
However, the chipset manufacturer did build chips that are less about connecting people to their mobile devices. But, it has been more about connecting in devices no matter what. In a way of, connecting to the things that shape our character and lives, do make us smarter, bolder, and also gives an improved life.
More about the MediaTek
Unknowingly, MediaTek is likely to be part of our daily basis. Wherein, one of every three mobile smartphones around us does power by MediaTek.
In addition, at Mediatek, the technology is built in the human’s mind to enhance and embellish life. Thus, according to the chipmakers, it believes that technology has to be great and not expensive. Also, great technologies should be ready for use for everyone.
For this reason, the company (MediaTek), just wants to make the world a more embracing and inclusive place, wherein being smart and connected are likely the same opportunity. In this matter, Mediatek works seriously and committed with the brands that you love the most. For the partners and consumers gives a featured premium technology that is on affordable budget-priced.
What is the difference between the MediaTek Helio P60 and MediaTek Helio P70
The major difference is that the Helio P60 comes out with a discrete Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) comparison to a discrete Neutral Processing Unit (NPU) that is in Helio P70.
However, the P60 has had been competing with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 in the mobile application processor market. But, the sources notes, that the Helio P70 is believed to take on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.
Moreover to the outlined launch of Helio P70, it does also kick off the volume production of its 7nm Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). Wherein, it was built using its own silicon-proven 56G PAM4 SerDes IP based on a 7nm FinFET process. This will happen by the end of 2018, as Jerry Yu, VP and General Manager of the intelligent devices group at MediaTek says.
Nevertheless, the market sources tell that the 7nm Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) was reportedly cut into the supply chains of the world’s two leading game console makers.
