Apple has always been very secretive of their unreleased products, particularly with its iPhone line. With all the hype that surrounds every product the company produces, it’s quite understandable for them to be extra cautious and vigilant about unexpected leaks.
However, as the highly-anticipated Apple Keynote approaches, new leaks seemingly confirm the brand’s biggest and most expensive iPhone model to date — the iPhone XS Max.
iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max Leaked Online
According to 9to5Mac, Apple is keen on ditching its iPhone “Plus” branding and focus on its recently revealed iPhone “XS” line. Apparently, the company is determined to make it one of the most successful brand, so much so that it released a 6.5-inch beast called the iPhone XS Max.
Numerous reports claim that the tech giant is crafting a model called the iPhone XS, which will be the successor of last year’s flagship, the iPhone X. The 5.8-inch device will then have a strikingly similar yet larger sequel, the iPhone XS Max.
In a series of leaked images from the same source, the supposed iPhone XS Max boasts a 6.5-inch screen and nearly a bezel-less notched OLED display. It was also alleged that Apple’s latest iPhone models are likely to feature 4GB of RAM — an upgrade from the previous 3GB. Aside from that, the upcoming flagship might finally have dual SIM options and a new A12 chip.
The two models are also expected to run the latest iOS 12 out of the box, especially since its official release date falls on the same day of Apple’s big event.
Camera-wise, it has been alleged that the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will have a 12MP dual-lens camera, with one telephoto lens and one normal lens. The new iPhones might be sporting a TrueDepth camera as well, especially since none of them are expected to have a Touch ID home button.
As for its battery life, the new iPhones are expected to be 25 percent bigger than its predecessor. Apparently, the iPhone XS Max will have a 3,300mAh or 3,400mAh battery capacity, while the iPhone XS might see a smaller increase of 10 percent.
Other Alleged Details Revealed
Aside from the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, other details regarding the upcoming Apple event have circulated online as well.
In a series of leaks on the Chinese social media site Weibo, it has been alleged that the upcoming lineup of iPhones will be introduced at the Apple Keynote event happening on September 12. Apparently, the new models will be the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XC.
Considering Apple’s previous brands, the supposed names appear to be more in line with its traditional naming patterns. Rumors also alleged that the prices for the three upcoming iPhones range to $699 for the iPhone XC, $900 for the iPhone XS, and $1000 for the iPhone XS Max. Another leak revealed potential colors of the iPhone XC — red, white, and blue.
So far, it remains unclear if the said leaks were authentic. Fans of the iPhone brand will have to wait until September 12 before its official revelation.
